                                                                                Ralph Morse as Leonard Jones

Who Is Leonard Jones? (2007)                   Supporting Age Concern/Age UK in Essex

Hear Leonard caught off guard in Red Arizona's recording studio                               (This item and the "word" from Johnny Cashbox below comprise the orginal website trailers for the premiere of the play on 16th November 2007 and are now displayed here for interest)

After four years experience performing as a country and western artist to the elderly community, Ralph decided it was time to turn his skills as a playwright to some of the issues that directly impact upon that generation.

His response is an original dramatic work.    "Who Is Leonard Jones?" premiered at the Headgate Theatre, Colchester on 16th November 2007.    Ralph has now completed the revised draft of  "Who Is Leonard Jones?"  and is currently in the process of recording the project for CD release.  This includes one new song in place of  "I Forget"  Listen to an extract from the demo recording of "Barmy".  The project is now nearing completion and the radio version of the story will be available to clubs, day centres and charitable organisations at a very reasonable price.   Full details will be posted here shortly.

"...resources are allocated according to clearly defined guidelines ..."

The story centres on two periods in the life of the Leonard Jones of the title.  The first occurs in 1997, when at the age of seventy-five he looses his wife, Maureen, following a stroke and the second in 2007 when he becomes a recording artist and minor media celebrity as a result of his efforts to prevent the closure of the local day centre.  The project is a joint production between Ralph and Age Concern, Colchester.

"I want to create an accessible piece of theatre that will address some serious issues but in an engaging and entertaining manner.  Leonard Jones has a number of obstacles to overcome during the course of the drama, but he does so with courage, determination and great humour."

".....You may take it that you have offended me too.  Good day to you too sir."

"Who Is Leonard Jones?" contains nine original songs and one cover, to be performed by Johnny Cashbox.   But first, a word from the man himself.
